Barnes & Noble Kitchen
Web Design
As online retailers continue to grow at a rapid pace, brick-and-mortar stores have struggled to keep their brands relevant. To address this challenge and give customers more options, Barnes & Noble is piloting upscale casual American restaurants that celebrate classic cafe culture. UNINCORPORATED was brought in to design and develop a website for Barnes & Noble Kitchen and provide design support for branded collateral.
Barnes & Noble Kitchen launched with three locations across the U.S., featuring thoughtfully sourced food, craft beer, and premium wines all set in a casual and approachable atmosphere.
I was the account lead, UX designer, and overall project manager. After articulating the user experience and the site architecture, I oversaw our team of designers and developers to ensure the site was executed properly. Our team continued to support the site for a few months, integrating OpenTable and doing menu and location updates, until the Barnes & Noble team decided to take the web property in-house.
This project won our agency it's first American Advertising Award!
